Hadith 2151

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would fast so continuously that we would say, "Now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will not leave off fasting," and sometimes he would break his fast so continuously that we would say, "Now the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will not fast." And since the time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, he did not fast for a complete month except for the month of Ramadan.
