It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that my beloved friend (peace and blessings be upon him) advised me regarding three things: (1) Listen and obey, even if a slave with cut-off limbs is appointed as your ruler; (2) When you prepare broth, increase its water, then look to your neighbors and deliver some of it to them in a good manner; (3) And perform the prayer at its appointed time, and when you see the imam has finished the prayer, then you have also completed your prayer, otherwise it will be considered a voluntary prayer.
