Abu Mujib narrates that once Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) met. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) had the hilt of his sword made of silver. Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) forbade him from this, saying that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever keeps gold and silver upon himself will be branded with it.
