حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلٌ الْأَحْدَبُ ، عَنْ مَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ ، يَقُولُ : " أَتَانِي آتٍ مِنْ رَبِّي فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَوْ قَالَ : فَبَشَّرَنِي ، شَكَّ مَهْدِيٌّ ، أَنَّهُ مَنْ مَاتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " ، قُلْتُ : وَإِنْ زَنَى ، وَإِنْ سَرَقَ ؟ قَالَ : " وَإِنْ زَنَى ، وَإِنْ سَرَقَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: A messenger from my Lord came to me and gave me the glad tidings that whoever from my Ummah dies in the state that he does not associate anyone with Allah, he will enter Paradise. I asked, even if he commits adultery and theft? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Even if he commits adultery and theft.
