It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) assumed the Ihram for Umrah, and the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) assumed the Ihram for Hajj. Whoever did not have a sacrificial animal became halal (came out of Ihram). Among those people were Sayyiduna Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) and another companion; they also opened their Ihram.
