It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about this issue: his sister had made a vow to go to the Sacred House of Allah on foot, but now she had become weak. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Tell your sister to go on a mount and take a camel as a sacrificial offering."
