It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are three types of people whom Allah loves, and three types of people whom Allah dislikes. Among those whom Allah loves is the man who meets the enemy with a group and stands firm before them until he is martyred or his companions are granted victory; secondly, those people who set out on a journey, their journey becomes long, and they wish to camp in some area in the evening, so when they camp, one of them moves aside and starts praying until, when it is time to depart, he wakes them up; and thirdly, the man who has such a neighbor from whose proximity he suffers harm, but he bears his harm with patience until death separates them. I asked: Who are those people whom Allah dislikes? He replied: The trader who swears oaths, the miser who boasts of his favors, and the poor man who is arrogant.
