Hadith 21302

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَيْلَمٌ ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي دُبَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ مِحْجَنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ لَتُولِعُ بِالرَّجُلِ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ، حَتَّى يَصْعَدَ حَالِقًا ثُمَّ يَتَرَدَّى مِنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By the will of Allah, a person's eye becomes so enamored with something that he keeps climbing upon the thing to be shaved, then a time comes when he falls down from it.
