Hadith 21294

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَالِمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيَّ أَتَى إِلَى أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ ، يَقُولُ : إِنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِذَا أَحَبَّ أَحَدُكُمْ صَاحِبَهُ ، فَلْيَأْتِهِ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ ، فَلْيُخْبِرْهُ أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُ لِلَّهِ ، وَقَدْ جِئْتُكَ فِي مَنْزِلِكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: If any of you loves his companion, he should go to his house and inform him that he loves him for the sake of Allah. And O Abu Dharr! I have come to your house for this very reason.
