It is narrated from Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Fajr prayer, and after the prayer, he asked, one by one, mentioning the names of some people, "Is such-and-such a person present?" Each time, the people replied, "No." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "These two prayers (Isha and Fajr) are the heaviest upon the hypocrites. If they knew the reward for them, they would surely attend them, even if they had to crawl. And the first row is like the row of angels; if you knew its virtue, you would compete to attain it. And a person's prayer with another is more virtuous than praying alone, and praying with two is more virtuous than praying with one, and the more the number increases, the more beloved it is in the sight of Allah."
