حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد الله ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ مُوسَى ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ ، عَنِ الطُّفَيْلِ بْنِ أُبَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ ، لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَلَوْ سَلَكَ الْأَنْصَارُ وَادِيًا أَوْ شِعْبًا لَكُنْتُ مَعَ الْأَنْصَارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar, and if people were to walk on one path, I would walk with the Ansar on their path.
