Hadith 21054

Haritha reports that we went to visit Hazrat Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was ill, and he said: "If I had not heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying that none of you should wish for death, I would certainly have wished for it." Hazrat Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him), who was among the participants of the Battle of Badr, says: "Once, at night, I was waiting for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to pray and continued praying all night until the time of Fajr. Then he ended his prayer with salam. After that, Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, may my parents be sacrificed for you, tonight you performed such a prayer that...' Then the narrator mentioned the entire hadith."
