حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ سورة البروج آية 1 وَ وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ سورة الطارق آية 1 ، وَشَبَهَهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite "By the sky, having constellations" (Al-Buruj), "By the sky and the night-comer" (At-Tariq), and similar surahs in the Zuhr and Asr prayers.
