It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver two sermons on Friday. First, he would deliver one sermon and then sit down, and then stand up and deliver the second sermon. The Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) sermon and prayer were moderate, and he would recite verses of the Qur’an on the pulpit.
