حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفَجْرِ بِ " ق وَالْقُرْآنِ الْمَجِيدِ " ، وَنَحْوِهَا " .
Simak says that I asked Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, about the prayer of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, so he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite Surah Qaf and similar surahs in the Fajr prayer.
