حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ نَاصِحٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَأَنْ يُؤَدِّبَ الرَّجُلُ وَلَدَهُ ، خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَصَدَّقَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ بِنِصْفِ صَاعٍ " ، وقَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : مَا حَدَّثَ أَبِي ، عَنْ نَاصِحٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.
It is narrated from Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If a person teaches good manners to his children, it is better for him than giving half a sa’ of charity every day."
