حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أَحْمَدَ مَخْلَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي زُمَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو الرَّقِّيَّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُصَلِّي فِي الثَّوْبِ الَّذِي آتِي فِيهِ أَهْلِي ؟ قَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، إِلَّا أَنْ تَرَى فِيهِ شَيْئًا فَتَغْسِلَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard a man asking the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Can I pray in the clothes in which I go to my wife?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Yes, unless you see a stain on them, then wash it off."
