حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَنْصُورٍ السَّلُولِيَّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، " أَنَّ رَجُلًا نَحَرَ نَفْسَهُ بِمِشْقَصٍ ، فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that during the blessed era of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, a man cut open his chest with a knife and committed suicide. Upon hearing this, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not offer his funeral prayer.
