حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ الْجُرْجَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَجَمَ مَاعِزًا ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ جَلْدًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Hazrat Ma'iz confessed to adultery four times before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to be stoned. The narrator did not mention flogging.
