حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ هُوَ ابْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " يَكُونُ بَعْدِي اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَمِيرًا " ، ثُمَّ لَا أَدْرِي مَا قَالَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ ، فَسَأَلْتُ الْقَوْمَ ؟ فَقَالُوا : قَالَ : " كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ " .
Hassan narrated to us, Zuhair narrated to us, Simak—he is Ibn Harb—narrated to us, Jabir ibn Samurah narrated to me, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "There will be after me twelve leaders." Then I do not know what he said after that, so I asked the people, and they said: He said: "All of them are from Quraysh."
