حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ ، قَالَ : أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ ، صَلَاةُ الصُّبْحِ ، فَرَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ : " بِأَيِّ صَلَاتَيْكَ احْتَسَبْتَ ؟ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَحْدَكَ ، أَوْ صَلَاتِكَ الَّتِي صَلَّيْتَ مَعَنَا ؟ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the iqamah for the Fajr prayer was given. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man who was performing two rak'ahs of Fajr. After the prayer, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him, "Which prayer did you count as the Fajr prayer? The one you performed alone, or the one you performed with us?"
