It is narrated from Hazrat Mukhnif bin Sulaym that on the day of Arafah, I came to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) was saying, "Do you recognize this?" I do not know what the people replied to him. However, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Every year, sacrifice (Qurbani) and 'Atirah are obligatory upon every household." Benefit: In the beginning, from the time of ignorance, the custom of sacrifice in the month of Rajab was prevalent, which was called 'Atirah and Rahbiyah. Later, this was prohibited, and only the sacrifice on the occasion of Eid al-Adha remained prescribed.
