حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنِي حَيَّةُ بْنُ حَابِسٍ التَّمِيمِيُّ ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا شَيْءَ فِي الْهَامِ ، وَالْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ ، وَأَصْدَقُ الطِّيَرَةِ الْفَأْلُ " .
Hiyyah Tamimi's father says that he heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "There is no reality in anything being inside the skull of the dead; the evil eye is true, and the truest omen is a good omen."
