حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ ، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ ، فَإِنْ انْتَظَرَ حَتَّى يُفْرَغَ مِنْهَا ، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Mughaffal that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever accompanies a funeral and offers the funeral prayer will receive the reward of one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed will receive the reward of two qirats.
