حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ صُهْبَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الْخَذْفِ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّهُ لَا يُصَادُ بِهِ صَيْدٌ ، وَلَا يُنْكَأُ بِهِ عَدُوٌّ ، وَلَكِنَّهَا تَفْقَأُ الْعَيْنَ ، وَتَكْسِرُ السِّنَّ " ، وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ مَرَّةً : " لَا يُصَادُ بِهَا صَيْدٌ ، وَلَا يُنْكَأُ بِهَا عَدُوٌّ ".
It is narrated from Ibn Mughaffal that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade striking with pebbles and said that with it neither the enemy can be subdued nor any game can be caught; rather, it can break a tooth and put out an eye.
