حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلَا أَنَّ الْكِلَابَ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ ، لَأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا ، فَاقْتُلُوا الْأَسْوَدَ الْبَهِيمَ ، وَأَيُّمَا قَوْمٍ اتَّخَذُوا كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِكَلْبِ صَيْدٍ أَوْ زَرْعٍ أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ ، نَقَصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ " . وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلُّوا فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ ، وَلَا تُصَلُّوا فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ ، فَإِنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِنَ الشَّيَاطِينِ " .
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If dogs were not a community (ummah), I would have ordered their extermination. Therefore, kill every extremely black dog. Whoever keeps a dog that is not for the purpose of guarding crops, hunting, or herds, their reward is diminished by one qirat every day. And the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: You may pray among flocks of sheep, but not among herds of camels, because their creation is from Satan. (There is devilishness in their nature.)
