حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَوْلَا أَنَّ الْكِلَابَ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ لَأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا ، وَلَكِنِ اقْتُلُوا مِنْهَا كُلَّ أَسْوَدَ بَهِيمٍ " .
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If dogs were not a community (ummah) among the communities, I would have ordered their extermination. Therefore, kill every extremely black dog.
