It is narrated from Abdullah bin Mughaffal that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting the Holy Qur'an on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah. If people had not gathered around me, I would have recited it to you in the manner of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah Al-Fath. Muawiyah bin Qurrah says that if I too did not fear people gathering, I would have demonstrated before you the style described by Abdullah bin Mughaffal, showing how the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited.
