It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah Mazni that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Pray two rak'ahs before Maghrib." After a short while, he again said: "Pray two rak'ahs before Maghrib." When he said it a third time, he also said: "Whoever wishes may pray them," because the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not like that people should consider it a Sunnah.
