It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The fragrance of Paradise is perceived from a distance of one hundred years. Whoever kills a person with whom there is a treaty, Allah makes the fragrance of Paradise forbidden for him. If I did not hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), may both my ears become deaf."
