حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي فُضَيْلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ : رَأَى أَبُو بَكْرَةَ نَاسًا يُصَلُّونَ الضُّحَى ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّهُمْ لَيُصَلُّونَ صَلَاةً مَا صَلَّاهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَلَا عَامَّةُ أَصْحَابِهِ " .
Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakrah reports that once Hazrat Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) saw some people performing the Duha prayer, so he said: "They are performing a prayer which neither the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed nor did most of his companions."
