حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكَّارٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَنْ سَمَّعَ سَمَّعَ اللَّهُ بِهِ ، وَمَنْ رَاءَى رَاءَى اللَّهُ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever does any deed for fame, Allah will hand him over to fame, and whoever does any deed for show, Allah will hand him over to show.
