ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2043

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ ذَرٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِجِبْرِيلَ : " مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ تَزُورَنَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا تَزُورُنَا ؟ قَالَ : فَنَزَلَتْ وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ سورة مريم آية 64 إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Jibreel (peace be upon him) after the period of cessation of revelation, "Why do you not come to us more often than you do now?" Upon this, the verse was revealed: «﴿وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلَّا بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ﴾ [مريم : 64]» "We do not descend to the earth except by the command of your Lord."
