Hadith 20262

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَن الْحَسَنِ ، عَن سَمُرَةَ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " نَزَلَ الْقُرْآنُ عَلَى ثَلَاثَةِ أَحْرُفٍ " , قَالَ عَفَّانُ مَرَّةً : أُنْزِلَ الْقُرْآنُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Holy Qur'an has been revealed upon three letters.
