Musnad Ahmad
ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2017
اُردوEn
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أُنْزِلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ ، فَمَكَثَ بِمَكَّةَ عَشْرًا ، وَبِالْمَدِينَةِ عَشْرًا ، وَقُبِضَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the series of revelation to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began continuously at the age of 43, he (peace be upon him) stayed in Makkah Mukarramah for ten years, ten years in Madinah Munawwarah, and at the age of 63, he (peace be upon him) passed away.
