حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْمُهَلَّبَ يَخْطُبُ , قَالَ : قَالَ سَمُرَةُ بْنُ جُنْدُبٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " لَا تُصَلُّوا حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ ، وَلَا حِينَ تَسْقُطُ ، فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ الشَّيْطَانِ ، وَتَغْرُبُ بَيْنَ قَرْنَيْ الشَّيْطَانِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not perform prayer at the time of sunrise or sunset, because it rises and sets between the two horns of Satan.
