وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَAnd from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 20167

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ رَفَعَهُ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ مَلَكَ ذَا رَحِمٍ فَهُوَ حُرٌّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) in a marfu’ form that whoever becomes the owner of his close relative, then that relative becomes free.
