وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَAnd from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " عَلَى الْيَدِ مَا أَخَذَتْ حَتَّى تُؤَدِّيَهُ " , ثُمَّ نَسِيَ الْحَسَنُ قَالَ : لَا يَضْمَنُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whatever one hand takes from another remains a responsibility upon it until it is returned (to the giver).
