وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَAnd from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 20133

قَالَ : قَالَ : وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّهُ مَعَ الْغُلَامِ عَقِيقَتُهُ ، تُذْبَحُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ سَابِعِهِ ، وَيُسَمَّى وَيُحْلَقُ رَأْسُهُ " .
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every boy is held in pledge for his 'aqiqah, so sacrifice should be offered on his behalf on the seventh day, his name should be given on that day, and his head should be shaved.
