وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَAnd from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ , عَنْ سَمُرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا حَدَّثْتُكَ حَدِيثًا ، فَلَا تَزِيدُنَّ عَلَيْهِ " ، وَقَالَ : " أَرْبَعٌ مِنْ أَطْيَبِ الْكَلَامِ ، وَهُنَّ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ، لَا يَضُرُّكَ بِأَيِّهِنَّ بَدَأْتَ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ : " لَا تُسَمِّيَنَّ غُلَامَكَ أَفْلَحًا وَلَا نَجِيحًا وَلَا رَبَاحًا وَلَا يَسَارًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When I narrate a hadith to you, do not ask for more than that. The most beloved words to Allah are four: La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar, and Alhamdulillah. You may begin with any of them; there is no harm in it. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not name your children Aflah (successful), Najeeh (prosperous), Yasar (ease), or Rabah (profit).
