وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَAnd from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ وَجَدَ مَتَاعَهُ عِنْدَ مُفْلِسٍ بِعَيْنِهِ ، فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever finds his own goods with a person whom the government has declared bankrupt, he has a greater right to them.
