وَمِنْ حَدِيثِ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَAnd from the hadith of Samurah ibn Jundub about the Prophet (peace be upon him)

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَّامُ بْنُ أَبِي مُطِيعٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْحَسَبُ الْمَالُ ، وَالْكَرَمُ التَّقْوَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Lineage means wealth and property, and nobility means piety."
