قال أبو عبد الرحمن : قال أبي : سَمِعْت مِنْ
عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ يُخْبِرُ بِهِ ، عَنْ
عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِي رَجَاءٍ ، عَنْ
سَمُرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " فَيَتَدَهْدَهُ الْحَجَرُ هَاهُنَا " قَالَ أَبِي : فَجَعَلْتُ أَتَعَجَّبُ مِنْ فَصَاحَةِ عَبَّادٍ.
Abu Abd al-Rahman said: My father said: I heard from ‘Abbad ibn ‘Abbad narrating it, from ‘Awf, from Abu Raja’, from Samurah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Then the stone rolls down here." My father said: So I began to marvel at the eloquence of ‘Abbad.
