حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ , وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَبِهَا وَنِعْمَتْ ، وَمَنْ اغْتَسَلَ ، فَذَلِكَ أَفْضَلُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution on the day of Jumu'ah, it is sufficient, and whoever takes a bath, that is more virtuous.
