حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ , وَيَزِيدُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ , وَبَهْزٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " كُلُّ غُلَامٍ رَهِينَةٌ بِعَقِيقَتِهِ ، تُذْبَحُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ سَابِعِهِ , وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : وَيُدَمَّى وَيُسَمَّى فِيهِ وَيُحْلَقُ " قَالَ يَزِيدُ : رَأْسُهُ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every boy is held in pledge for his 'aqiqah, so sacrifice should be offered for him on the seventh day, his name should be given on that day, and his head should be shaved.
