Hadith 20005

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، أَنَّ أَبَا قِلَابَةَ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الْمُهَلَّبِ حَدَّثَهُ ، أَنَّ عِمْرَانَ بْنَ حُصَيْنٍ حَدَّثَهُ , أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّ أَخَاكُمْ النَّجَاشِيَّ تُوُفِّيَ فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ " , قَالَ : فَصَفَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَصَفَفْنَا خَلْفَهُ ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ وَمَا نَحْسِبُ الْجِنَازَةَ إِلَّا مَوْضُوعَةً بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Today your brother Najashi has passed away, so perform his funeral prayer." Accordingly, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up and we formed rows behind him; I was in the second row. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led his funeral prayer. It seemed to us as if his body was lying right in front of us.
