حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ , أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبْصَرَ عَلَى عَضُدِ رَجُلٍ حَلْقَةً أُرَاهُ قَالَ مِنْ صُفْرٍ , فَقَال : " وَيْحَكَ مَا هَذِهِ ؟ " قَالَ : مِنَ الْوَاهِنَةِ , قَالَ : " أَمَا إِنَّهَا لَا تَزِيدُكَ إِلَّا وَهْنًا ، انْبِذْهَا عَنْكَ ، فَإِنَّكَ لَوْ مِتَّ وَهِيَ عَلَيْكَ مَا أَفْلَحْتَ أَبَدًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man wearing a brass (copper) bracelet on his arm. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Hey! What is this?" He replied, "It is because of illness." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This will only increase your weakness. Take it off and throw it away. If you die while it is on your hand, you will never succeed."
