حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى , وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا : أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ : أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، وَقَالَ حَسَنٌ : عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَن أَبِي حَسَّانَ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُنَا عَامَّةَ لَيْلِهِ عَنْ بَنِى إِسْرَائِيلَ لَا يَقُومُ إِلَّا لِعُظْمِ صَلَاةٍ " , يعني المكتوبةَ الفريضةَ , قال عفان : عامةً يُحدِّثُنا لَيلَه عن بني إسرائيل لا يقوم إلا لعُظْم صلاةٍ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would often relate to us the incidents of Bani Israel at night (and sometimes he would not even get up in between), he would only get up for the obligatory prayer.
