حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الْكَيِّ ، فَاكْتَوَيْنَا ، فَلَمْ يُفْلِحْنَ وَلَمْ يُنْجِحْنَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from treating with cauterization, but we continued to cauterize and were never successful.
