حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ , وَسَعِيدٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ : " هَلْ صُمْتَ مِنْ سُرَرِ شَعْبَانَ شَيْئًا ؟ " قَالَ : لَا , قَالَ : " فَإِذَا أَفْطَرْتَ رَمَضَانَ ، فَصُمْ يَوْمَيْنِ " ، قَالَ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ : صُمْ يَوْمًا.
It is narrated from Hazrat Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked someone, "Have you kept any fast at the end of this month of Sha'ban?" He replied, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When the fasts of Ramadan are over, then keep a fast for one or two days."
